AMB99 French Polynesia: Underwater Rain is a collection of electric precipitation only possible to record with the beautiful combination of a storm and a coral reef.
I went exploring and recorded these soundscapes in October 2025. Please take a few minutes to slow down and deeply listen to the restorative sounds of the natural world.

KEY FEATURES:

The combination of underwater rain + snapping shrimp makes a beautiful electric rain soundscape that I didn't know existed.
Sci-fi, electric, otherworldly precipitation
Light, moderate, and heavy underwater rain
Snapping shrimp clicks and pops
Recorded in 3D. Channels 5-8 have much louder rain sounds (versus 1-4 down deep). So these soundscapes have a strong vertical component.
