Program Note: 

Playing in a Balinese Gamelan ensemble is a hypnotic experience. From the moment the mallets strike the metal bars, sharp notes ring out and insanely loud frequencies sing into your ears. These loud and mesmerizing qualities were my starting point for this piece.
