DESCRIPTION: 

• In Loons, get a collection of the strange and mythical calls of Common and Red-throated Loons. Common Loons are beautiful birds with evocative calls that sing across the boreal lakes of North America and Iceland. Red-throated Loons are their grumpy cousins that bring a nasal cacophony to any soundscape. These birds add a haunting quality to the soundscapes of the far north and hearing their wails echo across still water has been one of the greatest pleasures I've had as a field recordist.

PART 1 – KEY FEATURES:

• Nesting pair of Common Loons recorded in Glacier National Park, Montana
• Close and distant perspectives
• Isolated solo nighttime calls
• Loons mixed with full dawn choruses
• Included Loon calls: wail, yodel, tremolo, hoots, flapping takeoffs, and tremolo call flybys
• This is not a parabolic dish library of close up and isolated Loons. It is an ambience library of Common Loons within their natural habitat. 
• Distant soothing water can be heard in several of the ambiences. 
• AMB10 Northern Rockies: Common Loons has been renamed as "Part 1" of this library. If you already own that library, only purchase "Part 2". 

PART 2 – KEY FEATURES:

• Common and Red-throated Loons recorded throughout North American and Iceland
  
• Red-throated Loons are the grumpy cousins of Common Loons. They have nasal calls with cacophonous energy. 
• Close and distant perspectives
• Common Loon calls: wail, tremolo, hoots
• Red-throated Loon calls: grumpy nasal honks and choruses
• This is not a parabolic dish library of close up and isolated Loons. It is an ambience library of Common Loons within their natural habitat. 
• Part 2 includes excerpts from AMB09, AMB19, AM20, AMB21, AMB27, AMB44, and AMB46. If you already own one of those libraries, contact me for an upgrade discount.
