  • This library offers you an extensive collection of nature sounds from the environment of one of my favorite species of trees. I hope you enjoy the subtle sounds of a beautiful sonic subject: Redwoods trees.

  • Have you ever wished that you could jump between different vertical perspectives in forest? To hear what a raven squawk sounds like from the top of a 300 ft Redwood tree versus the base? I wondered. I dreamed. I imagined. I put 24 microphones in one giant tree. And I now have the answer.
  • This library is a world's first: an ambience library recorded in parallel, from different vertical layers of the same forest.
  • So, for example, you can hear the same owl hoots from mics at 5 different heights in one giant old-growth Redwood: (1) 225 ft, (2) 175 ft, (3) 100 ft, (4) base of the tree, (5) and 1/4 mile from the base of the tree.
