DESCRIPTION:
- In Colorado: Wind 2 get a collection of deciduous wind from summer forests high in the 14ers. Hear the delicate whisps of green Aspens gently quaking and sweeping gusts flowing through millions of leaves. Hear blustery gusts whipping by majestic 4000 meter peaks and tranquil nights brought to life by the giant single organism of aspen groves.
- This library offers a large collection of temperate forest wind. It is unusual to record summer aspen wind without the sounds of wildlife. Luckily, I found an Aspen grove at about 3000 meters, just below treeline. Even in summer it got cold enough at night to quiet the crickets! So, you get to enjoy just the lush fluttering of green Aspen leaves. Thanks for listening.
KEY FEATURES:
- Just wind – zero wildlife
- Green Aspen leaves quaking
- Light, moderate, and heavy wind
- Soothing, hissing, fluttering, and sweeping gusts
- Did you know that Aspen leaves can photosynthesize on both sides of the leaf? That's why they evolved to flutter so easily! This unusual adaptation creates the distinctive quaking sound of Aspen groves.
- Aspen tress are also clones, so the entire grove it technical one organism. You are hearing the wind of one giant tree at 3000 meters in the high mountains for Colorado.
